Waiting on Wednesday #48: The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna
Publisher: Balzer + Bray (HarperCollins)
Expected Publication: August 28th, 2012
Pages: 432
Goodreads Summary:
Eva's life is not her own. She is a creation, an abomination - an echo. Made by the Weavers as a copy of someone else, she is expected to replace a girl named Amarra, her 'other', if she ever died. Eva studies what Amarra does, what she eats, what it's like to kiss her boyfriend, Ray. So when Amarra is killed in a car crash, Eva should be ready.

But fifteen years of studying never prepared her for this.

Now she must abandon everything she's ever known - the guardians who raised her, the boy she's forbidden to love - to move to India and convince the world that Amarra is still alive.

When I first read the summary of this one, I was hooked immediately. It sounds so amazing! I just can't believe how many awesome titles are going to be released this year - every day my to-read list seems to be growing and The Lost Girl is one of the titles I'm especially looking forward to read!

What are you waiting for this Wednesday?
Carina
